The Tahiti to Mo‘orea Ultra Marathon Ocean Swim is an unforgettable experience across one of the most beautiful stretches of ocean in the world. This guided 21.2 km (13.17 mile) open-water crossing between Tahiti and Mo‘orea in French Polynesia combines challenge, adventure, and breathtaking tropical scenery in one iconic swim.

It’s not just a test of endurance, but a journey through a living postcard. Tahiti and Mo‘orea are two of the most treasured islands in Moana-nui (Oceania). Tahiti is the cultural and political heart of French Polynesia — a vibrant island with mountains, waterfalls, and black sand beaches. Just 21 kilometres away across the channel, Mo‘orea is Tahiti’s laid-back sister — famous for its jagged mountain peaks, emerald rainforests, and crystal-clear lagoons.

We first organised swims in this crossing in 2018 and have since helped guide many successful swims. Each swim is closely monitored and supported by an experienced team, with every attempt officially recorded for official ratification with the international Marathon Swim Federation (MSF) or World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA).

Approximate costs
Based on swimmers taking on the swim with other swimmers in the same week on different days. 
2 swimmers -$5,500 NZD per swimmer
3 swimmers - $4,500 NZD per swimmer
4 swimmers - $4,000 NZD per swimmer.

You just want to swim from Tahiti to Mo'orea without the requirement 
​for official ratification of your swim. Talk to us, this is a much cheaper option.

The Double 
Jessica Evans and Tracey Messinger are the first swimmers to swim the double. In Oct 2019, Jessica and Tracey swam Tahiti to Mo'orea and around Bora Bora in the same week. Jessica holds the speed record for both swims.
