Guidelines
No nudity, part or full
Samoa remains a conservative society. There is to be absolutely no nude
swimming, exposure in part or full in public space where you can be seen.
Time Keeping
There is a timeline for everything that happens on Tour. We will stick to the timeline without delay.
If you are late to a meeting place, and the group has gone please make your own way to the next site.
Time will not be adjusted for late starters at a Race.
Rules
Togs Only
Non wetsuit, no rubber pants and any other flotation accessory
Swim Buoy (Tow-float) is mandatory accessory in All Swims so you are visible
to the support crew and other swimmers.
Dedicated Kayaker
Swimmers can have a dedicated kayaker / paddler at your own cost.
Event kayaks are for the whole group, a dedicated kayak will be supplied at cost.
Swimmer with a Kayak must also use a Swim Buoy
Swim to the Course
Swimmers must swim strictly to the course including turning buoys and markers.
Time Penalty
Missing a turning marker will incur an automatic 10-minute penalty.
Depending on the distance of the Shortcut, the penalty can be more
Time Penalty Lost Swim Buoy
1-minute is added to the Swimmers time when a swim buoy is lost
during the swim
Results
All Results within 24 hours of the Swim, posted or otherwise are Provisional
Protest
Must be lodged immediately following the swim concerned. All sides will be heard
and a decision made in due course toward a Resolution
Redemption Swim
The opportunity to make up lost distance to enable a Swimmer to be a Finisher.
Redemption Swim for 2019 is on Saturday evening 14 Sept at 4pm.
The distance will be calculated based on distance lost + 1km
Race Director's call
Any disputes will be discussed and listened to, in the end
the Race director will make a call which is Final.
