TOUR RULES
- Tour Rules
- Bike Requirements
- Road bikes only.
- No time trial (TT) bikes or aero bars allowed.
- Start Times & Timing
- Riders must be at the start line well before the scheduled time.
- Each stage starts exactly on time—no exceptions.
- The stopwatch will not be adjusted for late starters. If you miss the start, your time still runs.
- Identification & Equipment
- Riders will receive a helmet sticker—this must be placed on the front of the helmet.
- Bike tags will be provided and must be attached to the seat base. These tags are personalized.
- Race Timing
- Standard timing rules apply for each stage.
- Tour Completion & Hall of Honour
- Only riders who complete every stage without assistance will be inducted into the Tour Hall of Honour and awarded a Tour lifetime number.
- Redemption Ride (For Lost Mileage)
- Held on Rest Day for riders who need to make up mileage to complete the Tour.
- The required redemption distance is set by the Race Committee.
- Victory Ride (Final Day)
- Participation in Victory Ride (Day 6, Final Day) is mandatory to officially complete the Tour.
- This is not a racing stage but is required for completion.
- Protests & Appeals
- Protests must be lodged immediately at the end of a stage.
- A Tour Panel will review all sides and make a final decision.
- The Panel’s decision is final.
- Fines System
- A Fines System is in place for minor rule violations or misconduct.
- Everyone is subject to fines—no exceptions.
- Riders can call fines on each other.
- All funds raised are donated to a local charity (our current charity is the Samoa Victims Support Group).
- Daily Tour Briefing & Results
- A compulsory daily briefing will be held for all riders.
- This is an important part of Tour culture and must be attended.
