It is the responsibility of all swimmers and swim captains to be aware of

The Race is earth to earth - beach start to finish by touching dry ground at the finish
Solo Swimmers must qualify for the swim
(10km non-wetsuit swim in under 4hrs within six months of the Race)
Approved swim wear only
(no padding)
Official Swim caps mus be worn at all times during the swim
No touching of any supporting vessel during the swim - boat or kayak.
Where a swimmer needs to be assisted with the view of continuing with the race,
the Swim captain must first seek permission of the Race Director or Event HQ
for permission.
DRAFTING
No Drafting assistance permitted from kayak(s) or other vessel
Kayaks must not be in front of the swimmer, but on the side (Swim captains to ensure)
No assistance afforded by any means is permitted
TEAMS RELAY
Swim together for the first 1.5 kms
Must tag on exchange
Swim together in the last 500m
Time is taken when the last team swimmer reaches the finish
PROTEST
A protest can be raised where a swimmer(s) is deemed to have broken
Race rules.
A Protest flag will be issued to all Swimmers - Solo and Teams.
In the event of a Protest the red protest flag must be raised by the protesting Swim captain
or representative at the end of the swim on arrival.
A protest is deemed expired if raised after the swimmer has exited the water at the finish.
There is no exception to this rule.
On receiving a Protest, the Swim Panel will investigate both sides.
A final decision will be made before the official Prize Giving (next day).
Panel's decision is Final.

Fees - Non refundable Deposit of $500.00 is required to firm your entry.
This is deducted from your total costs.
